Cookie statement
Version 1.3, in force from 14 August 2026. Applies to the marketing website agentancy.nl.
This English text is a translation provided for convenience. The Dutch version is the legally binding one; in the event of any discrepancy, the Dutch text prevails. Use the NL/EN switch in the header to read the Dutch original.
The short version
- In the application (app.agentancy.nl) there are only functional session cookies for logging in and security. Marketing pixels are limited to this marketing website and load only after consent.
- You choose per category. In the cookie banner, under More details Statistics and Marketing can be switched on or off independently of each other; necessary cookies are always on.
- On this marketing website we measure visits with Google Analytics 4, but only after you have switched on the Statistics category.
- We place marketing cookies (for relevant advertisements on other platforms) only after you have switched on the Marketing category in the cookie banner. If you refuse, those pixels are not loaded. The site works fully.
- If you refuse, one thing remains: the Google tag runs in consent mode and then sends a signal without cookies and without identification, so that all we are left with is numbers. See section 2.
- Our own visitor counter does not require consent, because nothing is placed on or read from your device and we do not keep your IP address. See section 3.
1. Functional cookies (always, no consent required)
| Name/purpose | Placed by | Retention period |
|---|---|---|
| Cookie preference (your choice in the banner, local storage) | agentancy.nl | Until you erase or change it |
| Attribution of your visit (which advertisement/link you arrived through, local storage) | agentancy.nl | Until you erase your browser data |
| Session cookies on login | app.agentancy.nl | 30 days (sliding) |
2. Statistics and Google consent mode
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure page views and website use. Google only places cookies after you have switched on the Statistics category (or clicked "Accept all"). In doing so Google may place the cookie _ga and others; the default retention period is a maximum of two years. IP anonymisation is enabled.
The Google tag itself does always load, in the state Google calls consent mode v2 — as long as you have not switched anything on, all consent signals are set to "denied": no cookies are then placed or read, no advertising identifiers are sent (ads_data_redaction) and no profile is built up. What Google receives in that state is a cookieless signal that there was a page view. That lets us see how many visits there are in total, without it being linked to you. We base this on our legitimate interest in a working visitor measurement; you can object to this via info@agentancy.nl.
3. Our own visitor counter (no consent required)
We also count visits ourselves, on our own servers in the EU. In doing so nothing is placed on or read from your device — no cookie, no local storage, no device ID — and that is why this counting requires no consent (article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act).
To keep us from counting you more than once a day, we create an irreversible code from your IP address and your browser type, together with a secret key that changes every night. Your IP address and browser type are never stored; only that code. A day's key is destroyed after two days, which means that from then on nobody — not even us — can trace that code back to a person. Of your visit we keep: the day, the pages that were viewed (without the text after the question mark in the link) and which cookie choice was set at that moment. Purpose: to know how many people visit the site and what share accepts cookies.
4. Marketing cookies (only after your consent)
If you switch on the Marketing category, we load pixels from the advertising platforms below. These place cookies that let them recognise that you have visited agentancy.nl, so that we can show you relevant advertisements on their platform. For that processing these parties are independent (joint) controllers.
| Party | Cookies (among others) | Typical retention period | More information |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics & Google Ads (Google Ireland Ltd.) | _ga, _ga_*, _gcl_au, _gcl_aw | maximum 2 years / ±90 days | Google cookie policy |
| Meta: Facebook & Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) | _fbp, _fbc | ±90 days | Meta cookie policy |
| LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company) | li_fat_id, bcookie, lidc | 30 days – 1 year | LinkedIn cookie policy |
| TikTok (TikTok Technology Ltd.) | _ttp | ±13 months | TikTok cookie policy |
The exact cookies may change per platform; the column above names the common ones. We update this statement as soon as we add or remove a party. In the event of a material change we ask for your consent again.
5. Withdrawing consent
Click on Cookie settings (above or at the bottom of every page). You then see your current choice per category: switch a category off and save, or choose "Necessary only". From that moment we no longer load those tags. Cookies previously placed by the platforms can be deleted through your browser settings; how those platforms handle data they already collected is set out in their own policies (links above).
