Agentancy grew out of a simple frustration: accountancy firms invest in automation, yet the difficult invoices and receipts still end up with a member of staff. Those exceptions are exactly what deserves better software.
Why Agentancy exists
Ordinary invoices have been recognised reasonably well for years. The real loss of time sits in the rest: a crumpled till receipt, mixed VAT on one invoice, an unknown supplier or a document that lacks context. Automation then falls back on retyping, looking things up and correcting.
Agentancy was built deliberately for that reality. It reads at line level, uses firm- and administration-specific rules and parks a document when the outcome is not reliable enough. So a person stays in control without having to process every document by hand.
Firms can start alongside their current scan & recognise software. Only once the approach has proven itself in their own practice can Agentancy take over the full flow. That keeps the switch small, measurable and reversible.
